Your sponsorship contributions help to allay the costs involved in carrying out our mission to educate about dating violence. With sponsorships, and the proceeds we receive from Kristin’s Krusade 5K Run/Walk, we have been able to create grants for organizations that work in the area of domestic violence. We have also created the Kristin Mitchell ’05 Memorial Scholarship which is awarded annually at Saint Joseph’s University.

The Kristin Mitchell Foundation came into being a year after our friend, Kristin Mitchell, was brutally murdered by her boyfriend when she was in the midst of breaking up with him. Only a matter of days after her graduation from college, her life was over and her story could have ended there. Wanting to turn their emotions and energy to better places, two of her friends had the idea to create a run/walk. From there, our cause was born.
